Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at The Moon

En los años ochenta la carrera de Ozzy se centró en dos objetivos: continuar haciendo música sin Rhoads, y permanecer sobrio.

Jake E. Lee, guitarrista de bandas como Ratt y Rough Cutt, se convirtió en miembro de Ozzy Osbourne en 1983, para la grabación de un nuevo disco. El resultado sería Bark at the Moon, contando con Tommy Aldridge en la batería e incluyendo a Don Airey (ex-Rainbow) en los teclados. Hasta 1986 no se volvió a tener noticias de un nuevo disco, con la publicación de The Ultimate Sin (esta vez con el bajista Phil Soussan y el baterista Randy Castillo).

Tiamat - Commandments

Tiamat es una banda de origen sueco, en Estocolmo en 1988 formada por Johan Edlund. Su música es considerada como Doom Metal, o Gothic Metal, pero experimentan con distintos estilos en cada álbum.Inicialmente la banda tocaba bajo el nombre de Treblinka. Después de un cambio en la formación Edlund cambio el nombre del grupo a Tiamat.

Vesania - God The Lux

Vuelta a la actividad con el último trabajo de los polacos Vesania, grupo conformado por gente como Daray (batería de Vader) y Orion (bajista de Behemoth, aqui cantante y guitarra)

"Rest In Pain" abre el trabajo mostrando la línea a seguir, ambientaciones Black combinados con ritmos Death / Progresivos, aunque sn llegar a la complejidad de la banda de Michael Akerfeldt. Siguen en la misma onda con "Posthuman Kid" con unos teclados que inundan las estrofas de ambientaciones nuevamente muy Black, perfectamente combinadas con voces muy Death. "Lumen Clamosun" nos introduce en el tema homónimo del disco, "God The Lux", donde nos muestran su lado mas salvaje. Un machacón riff principal y una batería cuyo doble bombo se hace omnipresente. En este tema hann dejado un poco de lado los teclados en busca de la brutalidad de las bandas de las cuales proceden. "Synchroscheme" muestra su lado mas Black, con un riff muy veloz a la par que la batería de Daray, que solo baja el ritmo cuando hacen presencia la voz de Orion y los infaltables teclados. Innumerables cambios de ritmo hacen de este uno de los temas mas complejos del álbum. Incluso tiene unas lineas de teclado en la parte central que podrían recordarte a los Nightwish del "Whismaster".
